ST. ALBANS, W.Va, (WSAZ) -- A man accused of stabbing his father says he's innocent.

Donald McDaniel pleaded not guilty Friday morning to attempted murder and malicious wounding.

He was arrested in August.

Police say McDaniel got into a fight with his father Russell at their home in St. Albans. Donald then hit Russell in the face and then stabbed him in the leg with a carving knife, according to police.

Donald's trial has been set for December 9th.
