Arrest Made in St. Albans Stabbing

Metro 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com a person has been taken to the hospital after being stabbed in St. Albans.

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person has been charged after an early morning stabbing in St. Albans.

The stabbing was reported at 1 a.m. at an apartment in the 600 block of Washington Street.

St. Albans Police say Jeremy Martin, 29, ran to a neighbor’s apartment and called 911 saying his roommate stabbed him in the chest. When police got on scene, investigators say they arrested Pedro Munos, 32, formerly of Montgomery, in Martin's apartment. Munos was charged with Malicious Wounding.

Police say Martin had several fresh wounds to his body and what appeared to be a puncture wound near the chest.

Police are still investigating what led up to the stabbing, but investigators say both appeared intoxicated.

It happened in the 600 block of Washington St. about 12:30 Tuesday morning. The victim's condition is unknown.
