PORTSMOUTH, Oh (WSAZ) -- The Lewis County Sheriff Department recovered over $20,000 worth of stolen property and broke up a multi-state theft ring late Thursday night.
Deputies say they arrested three people after a long investigation into a number of burglaries and thefts during the months of October and December.
Joshua Stevenson, 22, Dean Allen Cooper, 22, and Aaron Howard, 21, all of Garrison were arrested and charged.
According to the release, the group was traveling to Ohio to trade stolen items, prescription pain medications and cash.
Deputies found a 2011 Polaris RZR with a trailer, stolen firearms from Lewis County, and several other items at a home on State Route 104 in West Portsmouth.
Detectives also seized $3,000 in cash and drugs.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Department worked with Scioto County Deputies and Detectives to make the bust.
Deputies say additional charges are expected.
