Greenup Avenue in Ashland, Ky. Reopens

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Boyd County 911 told WSAZ.com that Greenup Avenue reopened just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

A structure fire in the 3000-block of Greenup Avenue had shut down the road for several hours.

Boyd County 911 received the call at 6:08 a.m. Wednesday.

An emergency dispatcher told WSAZ.com that no one was inside the building when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Part of U.S. 23 is shut down in Ashland, Kentucky.

A structure fire has closed the westbound lanes of Greenup Avenue, which is also U.S. 23

Boyd County 911 received the call at 6:08 a.m. Wednesday of a fire in the 3000 block of Greenup Avenue.

An emergency dispatcher told WSAZ.com that no one was inside the building when the fire broke out.

Traffic is being detoured onto Winchester Avenue.

The cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined.
