PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) - It has been more than a year since Timothy Austin was found dead inside his apartment.
Detectives say on October 2, 2013, they found the 52-year-old inside the apartment on Hibiscus Court.
Since then, very few details have been released in the case and officials are asking folks with information to come forward.
"We have had a lot of developments and received a lot of information regarding the case, however we do believe there is more information out there. We want to encourage folks with information to come forward," says Detective Chris Phillips.
Initially officials did not release any information surrounding Austin's death, including how he was killed.
Now, they are now providing a bit of new information, including that he was shot multiple times, in hopes it helps with the case.

Kentucky State Police say the victim is Timothy Austin of Prestonsburg.
Coroner Greg Nelson tells WSAZ.com says he was called to the residence on Hibiscus Drive just after noon on Tuesday.
State Police and Nelson can’t say at this time how or when Austin died.
Autopsy results are pending.
They have also released no other information on the case.
