JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A traffic stop in Jackson County, Ohio ends with troopers seizing seven pounds of marijuana.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol charged Andrew Riggen, 27, of Garrett, Ind., with possession of marijuana.

Troopers say they stopped Riggen’s car near the 9 mile marker of US 35 about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

According to a news release, troopers said they saw something in the car that made them decide to call in a drug-sniffing dog.

Then, during a search of the car, they say the seven pounds of marijuana was found in a backpack in the trunk.

Riggen is being held in the Jackson County Jail.

If he is found guilty, he could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
