Two Arrested, One Hospitalized in Boyd County

SUMMIT, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two people are behind bars and a third faces pending criminal charges following the report of a drug overdose at a home in the 400 block of Little Garner Road in Summit, Ky.

According to the Boyd County Sheriff's Department, deputies arrived just before midnight Tuesday and found Carrie Reedy, 32, of Ashland unconscious. Deputies say they were told she had overdosed on heroin. Reedy was taken to an area hospital, but investigators say she will be charged with possession of meth-making materials once she is released.

Deputies arrested two men who were also at the home. Investigators say David White, 30, of Catlettsburg, ran from the area but was found later at another home where he was arrested on a parole violation charge. Deputies also arrested Justin Watts, 29, of Catlettsburg on a charge of felony heroin trafficking.

Both White and Watts were taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.
