U.S. 60 in Smithers Back Open After Coal Trucks Collide

SMITHERS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lane of U.S. 60 in Smithers reopened just before 6 a.m. Thursday.

It had been shutdown after a crash between two coal trucks.

No one was injured in the crash.

SMITHERS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lane of U.S. 60 in the Smithers area is shutdown after two coal trucks collided.

It happened about 4:51 a.m. Thursday between London and Montgomery.

A Metro 911 dispatcher told WSAZ.com that no one was injured in the crash.

Kanawha County deputies said a coal truck was traveling west when another coal truck pulled out of the Mammoth Coal Prep Plant and clipped the back of the other truck.

U.S. 60 is expected to reopen by 6 a.m.
