UPDATE: Two Dead After Crash in Lincoln County; Names Released

UPDATE 1/12/13 at 1:00 p.m.
LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Alcohol may be to blame for a crash that killed two people in Lincoln County.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. Saturday along Route 10 in the West Hamlin area.

West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com Shaun Terry, 33, ran off the road and hit a parked tractor trailer that was parked on the side of the road at a business.

Terry died a few hours later. His passenger Tasha Icenhower, 22, was pronounced dead when she arrived at the hospital.

Firefighters tell WSAZ.com they tried to fly Terry and Icenhower to the hospital, but the fog was too thick.

Troopers say Terry's birthday was Friday.

Alcohol is supected to be a factor in the crash.

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are dead after a crash in Lincoln County.

It happened about 12:30 a.m. Saturday along Route 10 in the West Hamlin area.

West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com the driver ran off the road and hit a parked tractor trailer that was parked on the side of the road at a business.

The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital but did not survive.

They tried to fly the victims to Cabell Huntington Hospital, but the fog was too thick.

No names have been released but troopers say the victims are a 33-year-old man and 22-year-old woman.

No word on what caused the crash.

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people hurt in a Saturday morning crash have been taken to a hospital in Huntington.

West Hamlin Volunteer Fire Chief Phillip Skeens tells WSAZ.com two adults were trapped with serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The crash happened near the Route 10 and Route 3 intersection just before 1 a.m.

Chief Skeens says the driver of a car hit a parked commercial truck.

West Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident in the West Hamlin area of Lincoln County.

It happened just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Route 10 and Route 3.

911 dispatchers say two injuries have been reported. They say the accident involved a semi truck and a car.

No roads are blocked at this time.
