Two Teenage Girls Seriously Hurt in ATV Crash

SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two teenage girls were taken to the hospital after an ATV crash Friday evening on Haines Road near Fredrick Road in South Webster, according to information from the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The 2006 Honda Foreman was driven by a 13-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old girl was a passenger. The ATV went off the roadway and struck a culvert. Both girls were thrown from the vehicle.

The driver suffered serious head and wrist injuries. She was flown by helicopter to Cabell Huntington Hospital.

The passenger suffered injuries to her head and was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center.

The accident was reported at 5:16 p.m. Friday. It remains under investigation.
