UPDATE 11/13/13 @ 11 p.m.
VIRGIE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a bank in Virgie where the suspects took off on an ATV.

The robbery happened about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at US Bank along Ky. 610.

Kentucky State Police say the man showed a weapon and demanded cash.

After the robbery, he left the bank by 4-wheeler. Investigators say he got on the back of a green Honda Foreman, being driven by another man.

Troopers say the man who entered the bank was wearing tan pants, dark jacket, white cap and had a blue bandanna covering his face.

Last month, State Police say the Community Trust Bank in Virgie was also robbed.

Less than a mile down the road, the Double Kwik gas station is now keeping its doors locked from inside and out during business hours. The clerk has to buzz people in.

It’s an effort to keep crooks out. State Police say they've been robbed three times in six weeks, most recently Sunday night.

Investigators are looking into whether these robberies are connected.

Kentucky State Police ask that anyone with information call them at 1-800-222-5555.
