JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The driver of a van was hurt after hitting a horse on U.S. 23 in Johnson County.
The accident happened about 6 miles north of Paintsville at 6:30 Friday morning.
A spokesperson for W.R. Castle Fire & Rescue says the driver was flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington due to the severity of the impact. We're told she will be ok.
They say the horse hit the windshield on the driver's side and was killed.
Emergency responders are not releasing the woman’s name.
The owner of the horse is not known at this time.
