Portion of I-64 Shut Down after Tractor Trailer Catches Fire

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 64, near the Scott Depot exit, have been shut down.

911 dispatchers say a tractor trailer caught on fire.

It happened at about 2 p.m.

Firefighters with the Teays Valley Fire Department say the flames have been put out.

No word on what caused the fire at this time.

The westbound lanes have been closed.

Firefighters say they will remain blocked off for a few more hours.
