CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some customers in the Ona and Milton areas are without water Monday night after a 10-inch water main break near Howells Mill Road, West Virginia American Water spokeswoman Laura Jordan said.
She said the break is near Cabell Midland High School, but it is unknown if the school itself is affected.
Jordan said West Virginia American Water received about 50 no-water calls from customers, but the exact number of people affected is unknown at this point. It is mainly affecting customers at higher elevations.
Full service should be restored by around midnight or shortly afterward. As of 8:30 p.m. Monday, crews were on the scene repairing the break.
Notices may be sent out later tonight regarding boil water advisories, Jordan said.
