JACKSON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man from Wellston, Ohio has been sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for attempted child endangerment and assembling chemicals for the manufacture of meth.
The Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney says that David Thacker pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this year.
Prosecutors say in October 2013, Jackson, Ohio police officers were dispatched to a store in Jackson concerning a shoplifting compliant against Thacker
In the investigation that followed, investigators found Thacker was in possession of materials commonly used in the manufacture of meth.
During questioning, Thacker denied knowing how to make meth but admitted to assembling items for another person to manufacture meth.
Thacker was later indicted by a grand jury.
Back in December his bond was revoked when probation officers found chemicals to manufacture meth in his residence. A 6-year-old was home at the time.
