HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Flood Watch has been issued for much of the region, including Cabell, Putnam and Kanawha Counties from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon for the possibility of new high water.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory for the Scioto Valley, much of Kentucky and Nicholas Co., WV for Sunday morning with a light accumulation of snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Even the counties not officially in the advisory will get in on the wintry precipitation in the morning before changing to all rain in the afternoon.

There is a Winter Storm Warning for Raleigh County, Greenbrier Valley and other higher mountain counties of eastern West Virginia for snow and freezing rain.

These areas could get enough freezing rain to cause power outages (.25 to .50" of ice).

Elevated surfaces will be slick Sunday morning.

Allow extra time to get to Church. The temperature is expected to go above freezing for much of the region from south to north late Sunday morning into the afternoon.
