CHEYLAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman is facing charges after police say she dragged her boyfriend with a car in a gas station parking lot.

Leslie Dent, 29, of East Bank, was arrested Thursday morning.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say Dent jumped in her boyfriend's car at the Go-Mart in Cheylan about 9 a.m. Thursday, when he was inside the store.

According to deputies, Dent's boyfriend tried to stop her, so he grabbed the car and was dragged several feet. He suffered some scrapes and scratches on his back.

Dent is charged with driving while suspended, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, failure to report a crash and domestic battery.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says she also had a warrant from the Kanawha County Family Court. Deputies say her license was suspended because she had nine unpaid citations.
