CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman has died after being hit by a truck in Charleston.
The accident happened about 9:15 p.m. Sunday along Sissonville Drive.
Police say Latisha Green, 32, was walking in the middle of the road when she was hit. She was leaving a nearby motel and was attempting to walk back to her home in Dunbar.
Green was rushed to the hospital but she died from her injuries.
No charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the truck.
Sissonville Drive from Washington Street to Chandler Drive was shut down for nearly two hours late Sunday night.
Police tell WSAZ.com a woman was hit just before 10 p.m. and had to be rushed to the hospital. She's in critical condition.
No word on why the woman was walking in the roadway, according to police. It's unclear if charges will be filed against the driver of the pickup truck.
