Troopers: Woman Caught Smuggling Drugs Inside Her Body

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman from Detroit is facing drug charges after police say she tried to hide hundreds of pills in her body.

According to a news release, the arrest happened on Saturday following a traffic stop on Interstate 77 near Ripley.

Police say during a search warrant they found $6,000 inside the vehicle.

Investigators also say during an interview with the suspects police learned that Nicole R. Williamson, 31, from Detroit, was hiding prescription pain pills in her body cavity. Williamson was taken to Jackson General Hospital where over 200 Dilaudids and Roxycontins in a baggie were removed from the body cavity.

Williamson along with the two other suspects, Courtney M. Jones, 32, from Detroit and Lowell Ford, 33, Detroit, were each charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to the release. Additionally, Williamson was charged with being a fugitive from the State of Tennessee for felony drug related crimes.

All three suspects were arraigned on the charges and taken to South Central Regional Jail.
