MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A suspended Mason County Sheriff's Deputy was indicted this week on a felony and misdemeanor charge.
Robert Fruth II was indicted by the Mason County Grand Jury on a felony charge of destruction of property and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.
The charges stem back to February 2011 when Fruth II was arrested by West Virginia State Police.
He has been suspended from the Sheriff's Office since that arrest.
West Virginia State Police arrested Mason County Sergeant Robert Fruth II on two violations of a domestic violence petition. Both are misdemeanor charges.
Fruth was arraigned and then released on a $5,000 cash bond and the stipulation that he be placed on home confinement.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Fruth was suspended without pay.
