Putnam County Looking to Hire New Deputies

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Department is looking for a few good deputies.

The department will hold a strength and agility test at Winfield High School on Saturday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m.

To try out, you must be at least 18 and no older than 45 on the date the application is received.

You can pick up an application at their office at 3389 Winfield Road in Winfield. Applications will be accepted though November 15.

Deputies can expect to make $37,710.40 after their first year of work.
