GALLIPOLIS, Ohio. (WSAZ) -- Now that school’s out kids will be spending a lot more time outside, and in Gallipolis there is a new attraction to keep them busy.
Next Sunday a brand new skate park will have a grand opening, giving skateboarders a cool place to hang out and have fun.
The kids say they owe it all to the hard work and dedication of an elderly man with the heart and spirit of a teenage skate dude.
Skating pros Carlos Leon and Robert Lopez Mont from Puerto Rico will be in Gallipolis next Sunday, June 15 from 1pm to 5pm to pay tribute to hometown hero and honorary skate dude Charles Bostic.
