HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- When kids jump into their local pools, they take for granted all of the hard work that goes into their summer fun.

Renea Slayton, our latest WSAZ Hometown Hero, sacrifices some of her own summer to make sure the kids in her neighborhood have a safe place to play.

WSAZ.com's Marina Jurica has the story about how Slayton brings lots of joy to kids who swim in the Guyan Estates community pool.
