CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- 'Tis the season for giving and one of the most popular programs to get a big boost every year is the Salvation Army's Toys for Tots.
In the Kanawha Valley, there's a special group of elves. They work every year to make sure there are timeless treasures under the tree for every girl and boy.
Because of their dedication and hard work, the Valley Woodworkers are our latest WSAZ Hometown Heroes.
For almost 20 years, the Valley Woodworkers have been donating their time and talents to build these wooden toys.
The Valley Woodworkers were quick to point out that it's all possible because of the community's help.
Dozens of companies like Toyota and Home Depot donate supplies to turn pieces of wood into works of art.
