14 Apply for Cabell School Board Seat
Monday was the last day to file an application for the seat vacated by Dr. Gregory Borowski last month.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Cabell County School Board needs a new member and 14 people have applied for the position.

Monday was the last day to file an application for the seat vacated by Dr. Gregory Borowski last month.

Two of the candidates were ruled to be ineligible for the seat. They are David Bailey and Robert Grant.

The 12 eligible candidates are: Rick Duncan, Rick Bumgardner, Maria Stowers, Garland Parson, Nancy Newfeld, Mary Neely, William Rawlinson, Anita Adkins, Paul Harvey, Carla Parker, Stephen Thomas, Harold Adkins and David Riedel.

The candidates will be interviewed during a special board meeting on Monday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m.

The board has until June 12th to fill the seat.
