HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Huntington man pleads guilty to federal drug charges.

Joshua Plante, 19, pleaded guilty to cocaine distribution charges in U.S. District Court in Huntington.

Prosecutors say that back in October, undercover officers saw Plante involved in what appeared to be drug transactions during surveillance of a residence at 1954 9th Avenue.

When the officers approached Plante, he dropped a small amount of marijuana on the ground. He was arrested for marijuana possession, and, in a subsequent search, was found to be in possession of a dealer-like amount of crack cocaine.

Plante faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he is sentenced in October.
