Chesapeake, Ohio – A brand new McDonald’s opened in Chesapeake Wednesday, July 15 with over 100 guests in line, wanting to be the lucky recipient of free sandwiches for a year. The first 100 customers in line were treated to coupons that entitled them to a free sandwich each week through July 2010.

Local owner/operator Steve Cielec was excited to get back to business after a three-month closure to rebuild the store.

“We are looking forward to seeing our regular customers, and bringing in new ones who may not have visited the old restaurant,” Cielec said. “We have been doing business in Chesapeake for a long time, are very proud to be part of this community and offer this new restaurant to the residents of this area.”

The store opened at 10:30 a.m., following the ribbon cutting and welcome from Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Bob Smith.

“The residents of Chesapeake have been very good to us, and we look forward to getting back to work in their community and serving them for years to come. We appreciate everyone who came out to join us for the grand opening celebration,” Cielec said.
