    Marshall University's Cody Slate was named John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the Nassau County Sports Commission Wednesday. The Conference USA senior recorded five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown in a last minute loss to UCF 21-20 on Sunday night.
  • Marshall Announces Football Series with Miami (Ohio)
    Marshall University Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick announced Tuesday that Marshall will play a home and home football series with longtime Mid-American Conference rival Miami University beginning in the 2013 season.
  • Marshall Hosts Hargrave in Sub-Varsity Game Thursday
    Marshall University will host Hargrave Military Academy in a sub-varsity football game on Thursday at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. and the game is open to the public.
  • Conference USA Announces Seven Future Bowl Partnerships
    Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today that the conference has secured future commitments with seven bowl partners, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, EagleBank Bowl, R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl, the St. Petersburg Bowl, along with the new Dallas Football Classic.

    UCF quarterback Brett Hodges completed a one-yard touchdown pass to Rocky Ross with 23 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Knights a 21-20 win over the Thundering Herd football team on Sunday evening at Brighthouse Networks Stadium.
  • Football Faces UCF Sunday Night on ESPN
    Marshall travels to Orlando this weekend for a prime time Conference USA East Division game with UCF. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Sunday night and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
