HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall begins spring football practice on Tuesday, and much of the attention in Huntington will go toward the competition at quarterback.
Five players are hoping to replace the departed Bernard Morris.
Brian Anderson was Morris' top backup last season. He appeared in five games and completed 12 of 28 passes for 94 with three interceptions and no touchdowns.
The other experienced signal-caller is Wes Beardain. He appeared in one game and completed one of two passes.
Others in the hunt are Georgia Tech transfer Jonathan Garner and freshmen Mark Cann and Chris Smith.
