Incoming Marshall Freshman Wins Ohio Junior Amateur
Kerns, an Ironton native, fired rounds of 69 and 72 for a three-under par 141.

LANCASTER, Ohio - Nathan Kerns, who will be a freshman at Marshall University in the fall, won the Ohio Golf Association Junior Amateur Championship played June 23-24 at Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Ohio.

Kerns, an Ironton native, fired rounds of 69 and 72 for a three-under par 141. He won the event by two shots over defending champion Smith Brinker of Cincinnati at the 6,657 yard, par 72 course.
