Steele Named Interim Marshall Athletic Director
David Steele has worked at Marshall since 1995.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Marshall University named David Steele the school's interim athletic director one day after AD Bob Marcum retired.

Steele has been serving as associate athletic director for finance at Marshall. He has worked at Marshall since 1995. His duties up until today included everything from business operations to football scheduling assistance.

Marshall is undergoing a nationwide search for a permanent athletic director. Marcum retired after seven years with the university.

I'm so glad Marcum is out, maybe now the baseball team can get a field since the softball team seems to have been his priority in that regard.
