Yeah, this is what was needed. Beer. Now we have the PERFECT formula for a disaster. Great idea !

Hey Anonymous, the bottles are plastic. Do some research.

Just what those Mountaineers fans need another outlet giving them more beer. And just when you thought that wasn't such a good idea they are giving it to them in glass bottles!!

No one wants to pay taxes anymore or I should say, the working class is tired of being the only ones paying taxes so we have to sell beer, along with all the gambling operations in the state to make tax money. Some will think my next statement is a joke, but I'm telling you, just you wait. Next we will see prositution legalized so it can be taxed. We, as a nation have sold our souls to vice just to make some tax money.

Just what we need, more drunk drivers, and having beer sloshed on us by rowdy fans! Just when I think there's enough stupidy in the world, something always comes along to remind me of the mindless, greedy, idiots that live among us!

All we need is more drunk drivers on the roads, risking innocent peoples lives! In addition, drinkers in the bleachers stumble and stagger and spill beer on non-drinkers! Every day I'm reminded of the mindless idiots among us! Shame!!!!

Post 3 – A few last comments: The sale of beer in the stadium will be a moneymaker for WVU. They still need to work on the logistics of the whole process over the next few games. For example, check ID one time and put on a bracelet or stamp of some kind. Secondly, have some beer sales in standalone areas that do not include the food lines, have a combination line, and have some food only lines. This would move individuals through each type of service more efficiently. To those narrow minded individuals that have posted that due to these changes they are no longer go to go to the games and spend their money as they have in the past, you need to realize that those total revenues are merely ‘ a drop in the bucket’ to the total revenues that will be generated from the beer sales. We all know which of those choices will win. So it would be best to adjust with the times and enjoy WVU football.

Are you people serious? Those who are and do drink for WVU football games have already started drinking by 10 a.m. at least. By they time the football game actually begins they are already 3 sheets in the wind. Trust me. WVU selling alcohol AT THE GAME ITSELF, has absolutely no different effect on what already happens and will happen at WVU games before and after they started selling. You people should know that already, wake it up. Trust me I know, I'm a HERD fan, I like wvu also, I attend a game or 2 here and there. I've wore wvu colors at Mountaineer field. I've wore Marshall green. I know how classy they are to visiting fans, lol!!!!

Post 2 – Now I see people here are ‘so worried’ about their children being exposed to the ‘intoxicated’ people. If beer sales did not exist, your children would be exposed to many more intoxicated individuals out in the parking lot and outside of the stadium in contrast to the ‘intoxicated’ people in the stadium with the sale of beer. In the stadium, people are confined somewhat to their seats. Secondly, based on how it is set up with the amount of beer one can get at a time, the length of the lines and the cut-off time, the people that would normally be drunk, will find it very hard to become overly intoxicated.

Post 1 -These are some of the most ignorant comments I have ever heard! All of these people are complaining about beer in the stadium. Let us look at this logically. Prior to the game: If no stadium beer sales occur – Individuals are going to drink out in the parking lot. If stadium beer sales occur – Individuals are going to drink out in the parking lot. During the game: If no stadium beer sales occur – Individuals are more likely to binge drink in the parking lots to hold them over until half time. If stadium beer sales occur – Individuals are going to drink at a slower pace in the game. After the game: Beer is going to be drunk out in the parking lot with or without beer sales in the stadium. I will elaborate more on this in another post.

That's just wonderful, everyone should be proud of the fact they are selling beer at ballgames now. Shame on all of you, what happens when these people leave the ballgame inebriated, have a wreck and hurt or kill someone. What an accomplishment to be able to sell beer at such an event where there are so many people. Just more stupidity, why can't people enjoy themselves without beer/alcohol? It only leads to sad circumstances. I'm ashamed and appalled, I think it's an outrage.

I agree,The Marshall Band Had to put up with being hit with beer bottles and drunk people trying to take their hats.what would happen if a flying bottle would have hit your little one?Good job adding beer,I wont be bringing any of my family to a WV game.its not safe now.such a shame.

Reading some of these comments and I laugh out loud. Most comments are from people that dont go to the games. They read stories and rumors and think every person there acts this way. All of a sudden you cant take your kids to Morgantown because they sell beer ?? Do you take your kids to Reds games, Pirate games, or even to the Civic Center ? THEY ALL SELL BEER. As for smokers, Im glad you cant smoke anywhere. When I drink a beer you dont taste it or smell like it. When you smoke, I have to smoke too. I HOPE THEY OUTLAW SMOKING !
