NEW YORK, N.Y. (WSAZ) -- All-American Vinny Curry will take his pass rushing talents from Huntington to Philadelphia.

Curry was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 59th pick in the second round of the NFL Draft. The defensive end had to wait longer than expected to hear his name called at the podium by Eagles legend Brian Westbrook.

The Eagles selected defensive tackle Fletcher Cox in the first round and linebacker Mychal Kendricks in the second round before selecting Curry just four picks before the end of the round.

Curry started 38 games in his final three seasons at Marshall and earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and All-America honors as a senior.
