Tampa Drafts WVU Teammates

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WSAZ) -- Tampa Bay will have a blue and gold tint this football season. The Buccaneers drafted two West Virginia teammates to help revitalize an aging defense.

Linebacker Najee Goode was the first WVU player off the board after Bruce Irvin went 15th overall to Seattle. Goode was picked in the fifth round, 140th overall, by the Buccaneers. Teammate Keith Tandy, a cornerback, was taken 174th overall with the fourth pick in the sixth round.

Goode and Tandy join a Buccaneers team that finished 32nd in rush defense and 21st in pass defense in 2011.

Tandy recorded 58 tackles and three interceptions for West Virginia in his senior season. Goode logged 87 tackles and five sacks in 2011 for WVU.
