WORTHINGTON, Ohio (AP) - Nathan Kerns rebounded from two rocky holes to post four birdies coming home and build a two-stroke lead over Bill Williamson after Thursday's third round of the 106th Ohio Amateur.
The Marshall senior's 4-under 68 matched the low round of the day and left him at 8-under 208 heading into the final 18 holes.
Williamson, a 35-year-old attorney, shot a 71. University of Minnesota golfer David Haley also had a 68 and was at 212, a shot ahead of Nathan Clark (74), who plays at Lindsey Wilson College.
Justin Wick of Upper Arlington, the youngest player in the field at 15, missed the cut but aced the 180-yard 16th hole.
