Fill out the form below with your mobile phone number, first name, last name, valid email address, zip code and your birthday. Click in the check box to acknowledge that you have read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Then select the Alerts that you want to receive. Simply click on the name of the alert. Most alert options have several drop down menu selections so keep clicking until you have make your selection from the list with check boxes.

To receive school alerts type the name of your school in the box below the title Organization Closing Alerts. Be sure you are selecting the correct school for your alert. One you click on your school or organization the title will disappear from the box and be listed below the title Selected WSAZCLOSINGS.

If you wish to receive the final score of your local high school football team, click on Sports. There are 9 different types of sports alerts so keep drilling down until you find the list of high schools Simply place a check in the box next to the name of the school and when we have entered it as a final score you will receive a text message with the final score.

As with all text alerts message and data rates may apply. To stop these text messages you can reply STOP to any of the messages. However that will stop all text messages from WSAZ so if you want to be selective, come back to this page and deselect the alert you want to stop.

To ensure you receive all alerts for your schools, be sure to sign up for the school district in addition to the individual school. Otherwise, you will not get alerts about district-wide status changes.

If you have been receiving School or Organization Closings alerts via email, that service has been discontinued. Please sign up for text alerts.

No need to worry. That means that individual school is not in our closing system. You should sign up for the school district, instead. Please contact your school and encourage them to contact us to add the school to our closing system.

QUESTION: How do I UNSUBSCRIBE from the alerts?
In the form above, click the link for "Unsubscribe/Change Existing Settings." Once you enter your e-mail address, you'll receive a confirmation e-mail with a code that will allow you to unsubscribe from our service. To unsubscribe from text alerts just click REPLY to the alert you received and type STOP and then click send.

QUESTION: How do I know I'm signed up?
You will receive an activation e-mail when you first sign up to confirm that your e-mail address is valid. If you do not receive the e-mail, check your spam folder or junk mail folder. You must enter the code contained in that e-mail into the form in order to activate your alert. For text alerts you will receive a text that you have subscribed.

QUESTION: There are several schools listed in my school district, plus the entire district. For which should I sign up?
You should sign up for all that you want to get alerts. For instance, if you are only signed up for the school district and only the high school is closed one day, you will not get an alert. You will also not get an alert if you sign up for only a high school and the entire district is closed.
