Detectives need your help to identify and catch a man they say is cashing in on someone else's accounts.

The Charleston Police Department has named the man pictured one of Charleston's Most Wanted.

They say on May 3, 2007, he used a stolen check at the Wal-Mart in Nitro to buy car stereo equipment. It's worth more than four hundred dollars.

Investigators also believe this same man used a stolen credit card a few days earlier on April 28 to buy an X-Box 360 video game system at Toys-R-Us.

Call Detective Snodgrass at the Charleston Police Department if you have any information: (304) 348-6480

Woman startles intruder in her South Hills home From staff reports Tuesday November 06, 2007 Police today were searching for a Chesapeake man suspected of breaking into a South Hills home and dropping some items after being discovered by a woman who lived there. A warrant was issued for Brian Franklin Petry, 29, after he was identified through a photo lineup. The incident occurred about 9:45 a.m. Monday when Elizabeth Knighton, who lives on Brookstone Road, heard the doorbell ring. She did not answer, figuring it was only a delivery, according to a press release from the Charleston Police Department. Knighton then heard a door open, and when she went to investigate, she saw a man in her dining room with his hands full of items from the home, the release said. The report says Knighton yelled at the man, who said he must be in the wrong house before he dropped the items and left. She was able to note the license plate number and get a description of the car as he left, according to the report. An investigation showed the man had pried open a back door and pilfered items throughout the downstairs, Sgt. Aaron James said. The car was registered to Petry's girlfriend, but she is not a suspect, police said. Petry reportedly knows he is wanted but has yet to turn himself in.

get better video cameras for behind the register that point right at the customer. If this state would stop being so cheap it would be easier to identify robber's etc.

This is why they should have to see ID before they take a check or credit card. Even if they have Telecheck, they still need to ask for ID.
