Coming on the heels of a good Marshall game last night? It is kind of hard to imagine football without the cheerleaders. I mean who would help pump the crowd up?
Well prior to 1898 it was a world without cheerleaders... that was until Johnny Campbell directed the crowd in a "rah, rah" chant. This happened on November 2, 1898 and since then the Gophers haven't been the same.
I guess you can say Johnny Campbell is the original gopher.
Question:
Do you know what university is home to the official birth of cheerleading?
Answer:
University of Minnesota
Winner:
Samantha Kuhn
