Traveling by train created some timeless headaches in the United States.
When people traveled by train they would have to change his or her watch by one minute every twelve miles to keep up with "sun time."
Before the train it didn't so much matter because it took so long to get twelve miles.
Well on November 18, 1883 four 'zones' for the continental United States were introduced. And with it they were able to uniform train schedules, and also bring some consistency in what was then the confusion of time.
Question:
Can you name the system the United States adopted on this day, 1883 to regulate "sun time?"
