Did you know an NFL Championship was this close to making home to Portsmouth.
It was a heck of a day for leagues first championship. Played in Chicago, Illinois... December 18, 1932 brought on the frozen tundra. The weather had already caused some confusion, the NFL moved it from Wrigley Field to the Chicago Stadium, the field a measly 80 yards.
Maybe we can blame that for the loss in Sparta. The Bears won the game 9-0.
