Mock Shooting Drill at WVSU

INSTITUTE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some students at West Virginia State Community and Technical College received some hands on training Wednesday to learn how to respond to a school shooting.

It's all part of the certification process for paramedics.

Students and faculty helped staged multiple shootings near Ferrell Hall.

Organizers say the project was to help students learn how to respond to a real situation.

We're told the students have a little more training to do before they're certified in a few months.
