9 People Charged During Property Theft Investigation, Items Recovered

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- After an intensive investigation, a group of people have been charged in a string of thefts in Kanawha County.

According to a news release, several individuals were stealing motorcycles and ATVs in the Sissonville and Elk areas of the county. In all, a total of nine people were arrested for various crimes.

During the investigation Tuesday, deputies say they recovered three stolen ATVs and a motor scooter.

The individuals charged:
-Roger Lee Burdette, 24, of Sissonville, Operating a Clandestine Lab

-Tiffany Dawn Shaffer, 23, of Sissonville, Operating a Clandestine Lab

-Kevin Allen Hudson, 28, of Sissonville, Transferring and Receiving Stolen Property

-Steven R. Burdette, 37, of Charleston, Two Counts of Transferring and Receiving Stolen Property

-Brandi Rose, 27, of Charleston, Grand Larceny and Accessory Before the Fact

-Joshua Snyder, 22, of Charleston, Grand Larceny and Transferring and Receiving Stolen Property

-Paula Brown, 27, of Charleston, Grand Larceny and Accessory Before the Fact

-Helen Skeens, 53, of Charleston, Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance

-Wayne Thaxton, 59, of Charleston, Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
