SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One major electronics chain may have gone out of business, but another one will take its place.
Best Buy is making a new home in South Charleston at the Trace Fork Shops.
It has been a long awaited store, as most people would have to travel almost an hour to get to the nearest Best Buy location.
Trace Fork has had its share of shops moving in and out.
Planet Tan went out earlier this year, citing financial issues.
Quizno's Subs also closed up and is currently being converted into a Greek cafe.
The old Circuit City location that closed in late 2009 will open this November as an even larger Best Buy store.
"We always get calls in our office, and this is always one of the number one retailers people want in Charleston," Andy Boyd with THF Realty said.
With the electronic giant setting up shop, local businesses are hoping they will see a spike in business.
"One hundred plus employees in this area is going to help all of us," Manoli Staviulakis with Cafe Creperi said. "I hope they'll see I'm next door and come to pick some of my coffees or crepes."
"It will definitely increase traffic flow," Smoker Friendly Manager Dea Clark said. "It will bring more walk up traffic for me."
Much of that traffic flow will be in the form of cars, which could cause a major headache.
"With one way in and one way out, it can jam up pretty quick in there," South Charleston Police Lt. H.S. Leishman said. "It seems like you have twice as much coming out as you have going in."
Regardless, people are happy to see the new business come to town.
"Sales will increase, and business will be great," Clark said.
"I was excited for us because another new business in this location mean this could help us a lot, too," Staviulakis said.
Other than the traffic, people in the area don't see any problems with the electronics giant moving in.
Best Buy says 100 people will be employed at the store. It is set to open this November.
