DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A serious crash has closed Dunbar Avenue.
The accident happened near the intersection of 12th Street and Dunbar Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Police tell WSAZ.com, the driver of a car clipped an SUV causing it to to crash into a utility pole. The impact snapped the pole in half.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital. The other driver took off and police are still trying to track down that person.
Dunbar Avenue is expected to be closed until about 7 p.m.

Dispatchers say a SUV crashed into a telephone pole in the 1200-block of Dunbar Avenue. The impact of the crash snapped the pole in half.
Crews are on the scene working to replace the pole, but the street is closed until the process can be finished.
