UPDATE: I-64E in South Charleston Reopens After Accident

The accident was reported just after 9 a.m. near the Montrose exit.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Interstate 64 is back open to traffic after an accident.

The accident was reported just after 9 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Montrose exit in South Charleston.

During the accident, a mini-van crashed into a concrete barrier and a Jeep flipped on its top.

No word on any injuries.

The eastbound lanes were closed about 45 minutes while crews cleared the road.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident in South Charleston that closed Interstate 64.

The accident was reported just after 9 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Montrose exit.

A mini-van has crashed into the concrete barrier and a Jeep has flipped on it's top.

No word on any injuries.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com, right now, I-64 eastbound is closed to traffic. Traffic is being diverted off the Montrose exit.
