Wreck Closed Part of Interstate 79 for About an Hour

MINK SHOALS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A wreck shut down a section of Interstate 79 near Charleston for about an hour early Tuesday morning.

It happened about 4:30 a.m. when a pickup truck flipped just past the northbound Mink Shoals exit.

Kanawha County deputies told WSAZ.com they believe the man climbed out of the upside-down truck before they arrived. He was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
