CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman has been sent to the hospital after she was hit by a truck.
The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Lee Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Charleston Police say the driver of the truck was getting off Interstate 64 at the Lee Street exit when he ran a red light and crashed into a SUV.
The force of the crash caused the truck to end up on the sidewalk and hit a woman walking in the area.
The woman was rushed to the hospital with leg injuries.
The drivers were not hurt.
Kanawha County 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com two cars collided about about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. After the crash, one of the cars hit a person that was walking on the sidewalk nearby.
The woman was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.
The intersection is still closed to traffic.

Kanawha County 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com two cars were involved in an accident when the force of the crash caused one of the vehicles to hit a person walking in the area. No other details are being released at this time, including whether someone was hurt.
The intersection of Lee Street and Pennsylvania Avenue is closed while emergency crews are on the scene.
