Arrest Made in Armed Robbery at 7-Eleven in Rand

RAND, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been arrested after police say he robbed a convenience store in Rand Wednesday morning.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies tell WSAZ.com Gerald Maxwell went into the 7-Eleven in Rand about 2 a.m. and pulled out a gun and demanded money.

According to the criminal complaint, Maxwell reached across the counter and stole $100.

Deputies say Maxwell left, but then returned to the store when they were on the scene.

Maxwell was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
