CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A quick response by Charleston firefighters allowed them to put out a fire in a matter of minutes.
The building caught fire about 5:45, Thursday evening, at the corner of Virginia Street and Maryland Avenue.
An Assistant Chief with the Charleston Fire Department called in the fire when he saw smoke from the road. Firefighters were able to respond in seconds.
The building is currently under construction.
Virginia Street was shut down while firefighters fought the fire.
No one was injured.
