KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Foul play is not suspected in the death of a woman whose body was found Monday morning near South Charleston, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says.
The woman, possibly in her 50s, appeared to be camping in the area. Her body was found about 8 a.m. Monday in a wooded area off of Myrtle Tree Road. She appeared to be camping in the area.
It appeared the woman was burning charcoal for heat in an enclosed structure. Final determination on a cause of death will be left to the state Medical Examiner.
The woman's name is being withheld pending notification of her family.

The woman's body was found just before 8 a.m. Monday near Myrtle Tree Lane in South Charleston.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies says the lady has been living in a tent. The woman is in her 50s.
A friend of the woman tells WSAZ.com she saw her on Friday and told her she needed to leave the area and she would be back to pick her up on Monday. The woman says when she arrived Monday morning, she found her body.
The woman also says her friend has been living there for about a month.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies and the State Medical Examiner's Office is on scene investigating.
